Hello, our names are Hanna and Caroline.

During our work as assistant nurses, we meet hundreds of unique homes. Many of these homes are new to the care chain and many have had home help for a long time.

We feel that it is often a problem for us staff to follow the basic hygiene routines, which must be followed when working as we do. To clarify what we mean, those of us who work in healthcare must follow the regulation on basic hygiene routines (SOSFS 2007:19) which the National Board of Health and Welfare stands behind.

It says that those of us who work with work close to the body where there is a risk of coming into contact with bodily fluids and where there may be a risk of infection, must use the required protective materials.

This is to perform safe hygienic care, where the risk of care-related infectious diseases is reduced. Protective material means apron, mouth guard, gloves and possibly visor/goggles. Access to hand washing and hand sanitizer must also be available.

As every home becomes a workplace, these protective materials must be available to everyone who has care in the home. To follow the basic hygiene routine, as well as to structure so that all protective material is collected in one and the same place. In this way, you can more easily find the materials required, but it also looks nicer at the individual's home.

Samaritan is a storage system for disposable gloves, aprons, mouth guards, shoe covers, hand sanitizer and also includes a trash can. There is also a compartment where you can place visors/goggles or other things. By hanging Samaritan in the entrance, healthcare staff have the required protective equipment, easily directly via arrival.

You can hang Samaritan over a door, a wardrobe or on the hat shelf. Also available for the car. When the care staff then leave the home, they take off and throw away the used protective equipment in the trash and then disinfect their hands. Samaritan streamlines and structures the workplace. Samaritan improves hygiene, increases awareness and the importance of applying good hygiene practices.

It should be easy to do the right thing.
